Prologis is a real estate investment trust. Through its subsidiary, Prologis, L.P., Co. owns, acquires, develops and operates industrial properties in global, regional and other distribution markets throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Co.'s real estate operations segment represents the ownership of industrial properties, and its private capital segment represents the management of co-investment ventures and other unconsolidated investees. As of Dec 31 2011, Co. owned, or had investments in, on a consolidated basis or through unconsolidated investees, properties and development projects totaling approximately 600.0 million square feet (55.7 million square meters) in 22 countries.
