EWI, KRU: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Wednesday, May 14, 12:28 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Italy Capped ETF (EWI), where 1.95 million units were destroyed, or a 2.2% decrease week over week.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares Ultra KBW Regional Banking (KRU), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 25.0% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of KRU, in morning trading today Associates Banc Corporation (ASBC) is off about 1.5%, and BancorpSouth (BXS) is lower by about 2.4%.
