SPY, FMK: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Tuesday, April 15, 12:47 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), where 14,350,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is off about 0.8%, and Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM) is relatively unchanged.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Mega Cap AlphaDEX Fund (FMK), which lost 150,000 of its units, representing a 23.1% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FMK, in morning trading today Intel (INTC) is down about 0.1%, and Exxon Mobil (XOM) is relatively unchanged.
