XLP, KOLD: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Tuesday, December 10, 12:30 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP), where 3.8 million units were destroyed, or a 2.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLP, in morning trading today Procter & Gamble (PG) is down about 1.2%, and Coca Cola (KO) is lower by about 1.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares UltraShort DJ-UBS Natural Gas ETF (KOLD), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 28.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
