Uranium Energy is predominantly engaged in uranium mining and related activities, including exploration, pre-extraction, extraction and processing, on uranium projects. Co. utilizes in-situ recovery (ISR) mining for its uranium projects. Co. has a uranium mine, its Palangana Mine, which utilizes ISR mining and extracts uranium oxide (U3O8), or yellowcake. Co. has a uranium processing facility, its Hobson Processing Facility, which processes material from its ISR Mines into drums of U3O8. Co.'s ISR mining involves circulating oxidized water through an underground uranium deposit, dissolving the uranium and then pumping the uranium-rich solution to the surface for processing.
