The ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Crude Oil (ticker symbol UCO) is a leveraged exchange-traded fund (ETF) designed to provide investors with twice the daily return of the Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil Subindex. Rather than investing directly in physical crude oil, UCO uses futures contracts as its underlying exposure, aiming for a daily investment result-before fees and expenses-that corresponds to 200% of the performance of the benchmark index.

The Bloomberg Commodity Balanced WTI Crude Oil Index aims to track the performance of three separate contract schedules for WTI crude oil futures which are reset on a semi-annual basis. One third of the index follows a monthly roll schedule, the second third of the index follows a June annual roll schedule, while the remaining third follows a December annual roll schedule. |
