EFA, SHAG: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Tuesday, September 25, 10:58 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA), where 7,800,000 units were destroyed, or a 0.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EFA, in morning trading today Nxp Semiconductors (NXPI) is off about 3.4%, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) is lower by about 0.5%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the WisdomTree Yield Enhanced U.S. Short-Term Aggregate Bond Fund (SHAG), which lost 300,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
