Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: VPL
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, February 16, 3:52 PMThe Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF (VPL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 3.5 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 500,000. Shares of VPL were up about 0.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Bhp Billiton Limited (BHP), trading off about 2.6% with over 3.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG), up about 1.7% on volume of over 1.4 million shares. Kyocera (KYO) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 2.2% on the day, while Fuji Photo Film (FUJIF) is lagging other components of the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF, trading lower by about 7%.
