EWW, IYJ: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, August 18, 10:53 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Mexico Capped ETF (EWW), where 12,100,000 units were destroyed, or a 34.3% decrease week over week.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the iShares U.S. Industrials ETF (IYJ), which lost 2,250,000 of its units, representing a 23.8% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of IYJ, in morning trading today General Electric Company (GE) is down about 0.4%, and Boeing Company (BA) is higher by about 0.2%.
