SPY, IDMO: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, January 13, 10:47 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), where 27,850,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is off about 0.1%, and Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) is lower by about 0.2%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the PowerShares S&P International Developed Momentum Portfolio (IDMO), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of IDMO, in morning trading today Sap (SAP) is down about 0.1%, and Marine Harvest (MHG) is lower by about 0.7%.
