EFAV, SMH: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Monday, December 5, 10:59 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Edge MSCI Min Vol EAFE ETF (EFAV), where 3,000,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EFAV, in morning trading today Ryanair Holdings (RYAAY) is up about 2.7%, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) is higher by about 0.6%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Semiconductor ETF (SMH), which lost 2,549,937 of its units, representing a 19.1% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of SMH, in morning trading today Intel (INTC) is up about 0.5%, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) is higher by about 0.8%.
