XLP, FAD: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Wednesday, October 26, 10:53 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP), where 10,750,000 units were destroyed, or a 6.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLP, in morning trading today Procter & Gamble Company (PG) is up about 0.2%, and Coca-Cola Company (KO) is up by about 0.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Multi Cap Growth AlphaDEX Fund (FAD), which lost 449,998 of its units, representing a 22.0% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FAD, in morning trading today Ulta Salon Cosmetics & Fragrance (ULTA) is up about 0.2%, and Lam Research Corporation (LRCX) is up by about 0.1%.
