Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: PSAU

The PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 86,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 43,000. Shares of PSAU were up about 1.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Barrick Gold, trading up about 1.1% with over 11.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Hecla Mining, up about 5.3% on volume of over 9.8 million shares. Stillwater Mining is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 6% on the day, while American Shared Hospital Services is lagging other components of the PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 0.4%.
