EWH, SMDV: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Tuesday, March 3, 10:50 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Hong Kong ETF (EWH), where 5,550,000 units were destroyed, or a 4.0% decrease week over week.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV), which lost 25,000 of its units, representing a 20.0% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of SMDV, in morning trading today ABM Industries (ABM) is off about 0.9%, and American Equity Investment Life Holding (AEL) is lower by about 0.1%.
