XLF, QINC: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, January 30, 10:53 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF), where 44,400,000 units were destroyed, or a 5.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLF, in morning trading today Berkshire Hathaway Class B (BRK.B) is down about 1.3%, and Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) is lower by about 0.9%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust RBA Quality Income ETF (QINC), which lost 149,998 of its units, representing a 27.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of QINC, in morning trading today Realty Income Corporation (O) is off about 0.4%, and Consolidated Edison (ED) is lower by about 1%.
