EEM, CMDT: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, January 23, 10:48 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (EEM), where 24,750,000 units were destroyed, or a 3.0% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EEM, in morning trading today Credicorp (BAP) is up about 0.9%, and Mobile Telesystems (MBT) is higher by about 1.5%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the iShares Commodity Optimized Trust (CMDT), which lost 150,000 of its units, representing a 37.5% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
