FXO, FXR: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Thursday, October 23, 12:41 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the First Trust Financials AlphaDEX Fund (FXO), where 16,250,000 units were destroyed, or a 36.3% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of FXO, in morning trading today MFA Financial (MFA) is up about 0.3%, and Allied World Assurance Company (AWH) is lower by about 3.7%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Industrials/Producer Durables AlphaDEX Fund (FXR), which lost 15,850,000 of its units, representing a 37.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FXR, in morning trading today Alaska Air Group (ALK) is up about 4.5%, and United Continental Holdings (UAL) is lower by about 0.8%.
