XLI, BZQ: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, August 22, 2:07 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLI), where 26.1 million units were destroyed, or a 13.5% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLI, in morning trading today General Electric (GE) is down about 0.6%, and Union Pacific (UNP) is up by about 0.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares UltraShort MSCI Brazil Capped ETF (BZQ), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 15.4% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
