EWJ, UGE: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, August 29, 12:19 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Japan ETF (EWJ), where 7,800,000 units were destroyed, or a 0.6% decrease week over week.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares Ultra Consumer Goods (UGE), which lost 75,000 of its units, representing a 20.0% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of UGE, in morning trading today Activision Blizzard (ATVI) is off about 0.2%, and Altria Group (MO) is higher by about 0.3%.
