ETF Channel Staff - Friday, November 10, 10:45 AM
This is the ETF Flows Report for 11/10/2017, reflecting new data for ETF units created or destroyed following the prior closing bell. For the total universe of ETFs covered by ETF Channel, there were combined total outflows of $3.0 billion day over day. Of note in today's report, the Blended Debt ETFs category saw inflows of $261.8 million. Among the ETFs in that category, iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG) had inflows of $240.5 million, Vanguard Intermediate-Term Bond ETF (BIV) had inflows of $16.9 million, and Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF (BND) had inflows of $16.3 million.
Although ETFs trade just like stocks, instead of ''shares'' investors are actually buying and selling ''units'' — which are routinely created or destroyed to accommodate investor demand. We monitor these changes, to keep a lookout for ETFs experiencing notable inflows (many new units created) or outflows (many old units destroyed).
