Description to the Barclays 1-to-3 Year Treasury Bond Fund, traded under ticker symbol SHY: This ETF is a fund that tries to approximate the total rate of return that corresponds generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the short-term sector of the U.S. Treasury market as defined by the Barclays Capital U.S. 1-to-3 Year Treasury Bond Index. The underlying, market cap weighted index includes all publicly issued, fixed-rate, non-convertible US Treasury securities that have a remaining maturity of between 1 and 3 years, are denominated in United States dollars, are rated investment grade by Moody’s, and have $250 million or more of outstanding face value.
