Mercer International is a producer of market northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp. Co.'s operations are located in Eastern Germany and Western Canada. As of Dec 31 2012, Co. operated three NBSK pulp mills: Rosenthal mill, which is operated by Co.'s Zellstoff-und Papierfabrik Rosenthal GmbH subsidiary, with an annual production capacity of approximately 355,000 air-dried metric tonnes (ADMTs); Celgar mill, which is operated by Co.'s Zellstoff Celgar Limited subsidiary, with an annual production capacity of approximately 520,000 ADMTs; and Stendal mill, which is operated by Co.'s Zellstoff Stendal GmbH subsidiary, with an annual production capacity of approximately 650,000 ADMTs.
