Host Hotels & Resorts is a real estate investment trust. Co. owns properties and conducts operations through Host Hotels & Resorts, L.P., of which it is the sole general partner and in which, as of Dec 31 2012, it held approximately 98.6% of the partnership interests. As of Feb 25 2013, Co.'s consolidated lodging portfolio consisted of 118 hotels containing approximately 62,600 rooms, with the majority located in the U.S., and 15 properties located in Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Australia, Mexico and Brazil. Co. is also developing two hotels in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In addition, Co. owns non-controlling interests in a joint venture in Europe and a joint venture in Asia/Pacific.
