Randgold Resources is is engaged in gold mining, exploration and related activities. Co.'s activities are focused on West and Central Africa. Co. owns 80% controlling interest in the Loulo mine and 80% of Morila mine in Mali. In addition, Co. owns an effective 89% controlling interest in the Tongon project located in Cote d'Ivoire. Co. also owns an effective 83.25% controlling interest in the Massawa project in Senegal and 45% interest in the Kibali project located in the Democratic Republic of Congo ("DRC"). Co. also has exploration permits and licenses covering substantial areas in Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, DRC, Mali, and Senegal.
