CH Energy Group is a holding company. Co.'s main subsidiary, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation ("Central Hudson"), is a regulated electric and natural gas subsidiary which purchases, sells at wholesale, and distributes electricity and natural gas at retail in New York State. Ats of Dec 31 2012, Central Hudson delivered energy to approx. 300,000 electric customers and 80,000 natural gas customers. Co.'s subsidiary, Central Hudson Enterprises Corp. owns Griffith Energy Services, Inc., which is engaged in fuel distribution, including heating oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and propane, and the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.
