EZU, XOP: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Wednesday, August 20, 12:41 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI EMU ETF (EZU), where 6,700,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.9% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EZU, in morning trading today ArcelorMittal (MT) is down about 0.4%, and Ryanair Holdings (RYAAY) is lower by about 1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), which lost 4,200,000 of its units, representing a 24.1% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of XOP, in morning trading today Green Plains (GPRE) is up about 0.4%, and Emerald Oil (EOX) is lower by about 0.1%.
