SPY, UPW: Big ETF Inflows
ETF Channel Staff - Wednesday, April 23, 11:43 AMComparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which added 4,550,000 units, or a 0.5% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is off about 0.5%, and Exxon Mobil (XOM) is up by about 0.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the Proshares Ultra Utilities (UPW), which added 75,000 units, for a 25.0% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of UPW, in morning trading today AES Corporation (AES) is up about 1.4%, and AGL Resources (GAS) is up by about 0.8%.
