GDX, DUST: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, February 1, 1:30 PMTurning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the Gold Miners ETF (GDX), which shed 7,400,000 shares, or a 3.9% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of GDX, in morning trading today Barrick Gold Corporation (ABX) is off about 0.1%, and Goldcorp Incorporated (GG) is higher by about 0.1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the Daily Gold Miners Bear 3x Shares (DUST), which lost 350,000 of its shares, for a whopping 38.9% decline in outstanding shares.
