XLE, SVXY: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Thursday, January 24, 1:27 PMTurning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE), which shed 4,050,000 shares, or a 4.1% decrease week over week.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the Proshares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (SVXY), which lost 450,000 of its shares, for a whopping 45.0% decline in outstanding shares.
