Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: IXN
ETF Channel Staff - Wednesday, December 5, 1:39 PMThe iShares S&P Global Technology Sector Index Fund ETF (IXN) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 47,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 37,000. Shares of IXN were off about 1.1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Hewlett Packard (HPQ), trading up about 3% with over 23.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Intel (INTC), down about 0.9% on volume of over 19.8 million shares. Western Digital (WDC) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 5.2% on the day, while Red Hat (RHT) is lagging other components of the iShares S&P Global Technology Sector Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 4.7%.
