Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: IXC
ETF Channel Staff - Thursday, December 20, 11:57 AMThe iShares S&P Global Energy Sector Index Fund ETF (IXC) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 140,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 115,000. Shares of IXC were trading flat on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Exxon Mobil (XOM), trading down about 0.3% with over 2.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Halliburton (HAL), up about 0.4% on volume of over 1.6 million shares. Eqt (EQT) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 4.3% on the day, while Consol Energy (CNX) is lagging other components of the iShares S&P Global Energy Sector Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 0.9%.
