VWO, PBS: Big ETF Outflows
ETF Channel Staff - Monday, November 19, 12:52 PMTurning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the Vanguard MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (VWO), which shed 19,388,523 shares, or a 1.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of VWO, in morning trading today China Mobile Hong Kong Limit (CHL) is up about 0.9%, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) is higher by about 0.1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the Dynamic Media Portfolio (PBS), which lost 3,000,000 of its shares, for a whopping 32.6% decline in outstanding shares. Among the largest underlying components of PBS, in morning trading today Time Warner Incorporated (TWX) is up about 0.7%, and Discovery Communications Srs A (DISCA) is higher by about 1.5%.
