Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: KOL
ETF Channel Staff - Thursday, October 11, 12:00 PM

The Coal ETF (KOL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 223,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 183,000. Shares of KOL were up about 3% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Alpha Natural Resources (ANR), trading up about 10.1% with over 12.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Arch Coal (ACI), up about 8.8% on volume of over 6.0 million shares. Westshore Terminals Investment C (WTE.CA) is lagging other components of the Coal ETF Thursday, trading lower by about 0.7%.
