Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: ICLN
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, December 30, 2:25 PMThe iShares S&P Global Clean Energy Index Fund ETF (ICLN) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 113,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 30,000. Shares of ICLN were up about 0.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR), trading off about 2% with over 1.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and JA Solar Holdings (JASO), down about 3.7% on volume of over 1.2 million shares. First Solar (FSLR) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 1.7% on the day, while LDK Solar (LDK) is lagging other components of the ETF, trading lower by about 6.2%.
