Monday's ETF with Unusual Volume: FAN
ETF Channel Staff - Monday, May 23, 3:20 PMThe First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund ETF (FAN) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 202,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 81,000. Shares of FAN were down about 3.1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were General Electric (GE), trading down about 1.7% with over 17.9 million shares changing hands so far this session, and BP Plc (BP), off about 2.7% on volume of over 4.2 million shares. Capstone Turbine (CPST) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 3.4% on the day, while Federal Mogul (FDML) is lagging other components of the First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 4.2%.
