Week-to-Date ETF Leaders and Laggards: IGV, FAN
ETF Channel Staff - Friday, August 20, 2:30 PMThe iShares S&P North American Technology-Software Index Fund ETF (IGV) is currently outperforming other ETFs this week, up about 4.9%. Components of that ETF showing particular strength this week include shares of McAfee (MFE), up about 57% and shares of Salesforce (CRM), up about 12.7% on the week.
And underperforming other ETFs this week is still the First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund ETF (FAN), now off about 6.8% this week. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing for the week were shares of Broadwind Energy (BWEN), lower by about 12.6%, and shares of BP (BP), lower by about 7.6% on the week.
Other ETF standouts this week include the Dynamic Networking Portfolio (PXQ), outperforming this week with a 4.5% gain. And the Global Wind Energy Portfolio (PWND) was an underperformer, falling about 5.8% this week.
