In midday trading Thursday, the First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Index Fund ETF (QCLN) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 3.6% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Trina Solar Limited (TSL), up about 4.5% and shares of UQM Technologies (UQM), up about 3.7% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares MSCI ACWI ex US Materials Sector Index Fund ETF (AXMT), down about 4.3% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Companhia Siderurgica Nacion (SID), lower by about 0.2%, and shares of Sterlite Industries India Limited (SLT), lower by about 0.1% on the day.
