Weekly ETF Leaders and Laggards: EMFN, AXIT ETF Channel Staff - Friday, September 3, 4:19 PMThe iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Financials Sector Index Fund ETF (EMFN) outperformed other ETFs this week, up about 9.2%. Components of that ETF showing particular strength this week include shares of Bancolombia (CIB), up about 5.8% and shares of Credicorp Limited (BAP), up about 4.7% on the week.
And underperforming other ETFs this week is the iShares MSCI ACWI ex-US Information Technology Sector Index Fund ETF (AXIT), down about 9.3% this week on low volume. Among the US-traded components of that ETF with the weakest showing for the week were shares of Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), up by about 0.9%, and shares of United Microelectronics (UMC), up by about 1.1% on the week.
Other ETF standouts this week include the Dynamic Leisure and Entertainment Portfolio (PEJ), outperforming this week with a 7.9% gain. And the iShares MSCI USA Index Fund (EUSA) was an underperformer, falling about 1% this week.
